BUDDY's BAR-B-Q
Various locations
Supposedly if you want tasty barbecue in the Volunteer State, you're supposed to head over to Memphis. But apparently no one bothered to tell the Smothers family that.
In the late '60s, LaMuriel Smothers purchased a drive-in restaurant in Seymour. Business boomed, and soon the family was making an abundance of its slow-cooked, mouth-watering barbecue. Since then, the family has opened several locations, each one providing hungry East Tennesseans with delicious barbecue and all the fixin's. And the best part is, you don't have to drive six hours to get it.
