CALHOUN'S ON THE RIVER
400 Neyland Drive
* From your table at Calhoun's on the River, 400 Neyland Drive, you can see quite a lot. The winding arms of the Tennessee River stretch right alongside the restaurant and offer diners a look at everything from passing riverboats to geese scrambling about the water in search of food to the Vol Navy on game-day Saturdays. Sometimes there's so much going on out there that you forget all about eating.
Of course if you do remember to order, there's a savory selection of food, from the ribs (another East Tennessee favorite) to the Steak Calhoun and Southern-fried catfish. There's also a wide selection of freshly brewed beer, made in Calhoun's award-winning brewery.
But mostly it's the view. What other restaurant lets you eat great food for a reasonable price, all while watching a riverside picture show?
