NATURE'S PANTRY

For almost 25 years Nature's Pantry has been specializing in giving the Knoxville area a healthy grocery shopping alternative. For the non-health food enthusiast, entering Nature's Pantry atop its Bearden Hill location can be a little scary, almost a shock to the system. Where are the aisles stuffed with pork rinds and Crisco? Where's the double salted bacon with extra fat trim?

But after a couple of minutes, you'll realize Nature's Pantry offers a good kind of scary. These aisles are filled with nice little pleasantries, like grains in bulk and organic foods. There's an extensive selection of vitamins and dietary supplements for those on specialized diets. Then there are all-natural soaps, shampoos and other personal hygiene items. It tastes just like a regular grocery store. Only 97 percent fat-free.
