TED HALL

WBIR, Channel 10

Ted Hall had some big shoes to fill. In December of last year he began anchoring "Action 10 News Tonight" and "Action 10 News Nightbeat" following the retirement of 23-year news veteran Bill Williams. Evidently, he's doing the job rather nicely.

And why not? Hall isn't exactly a stranger to broadcast journalism. For 17 years now, Hall has been on the air, ever since he began reporting on news and sports at KLOE in Goodland, Kan.

In 1988, he joined the top-rated WBIR news broadcast team. He's remained there ever since.

With his boyish good looks, smooth voice and warm personality, Hall is one of the many reasons East Tennesseans keep their televisions tuned to Channel 10 every evening.

Runners-up: Robin Wilhoit (WBIR) and Bill Williams (WBIR)
